WTC: Australia scored 247 for 3 against India on Day one at Oval

In cricket, Australia were 247 for the loss of 3 wickets in 67 overs in their first innings against India on the first day of the World Test Championship at the Oval in England

when reports last came in. Australia was 170 for the loss of 3 wickets in 51 overs at tea. Travis Head and Steve Smith have made Australia stable after they lost three wickets at regular intervals. Earlier, India won the toss and opted to bowl first.
 
The match is being played with the Duke’s ball. This is team India’s second consecutive WTC final in as many editions and will look to go one better this time around.

India lost to New Zealand in the final of the inaugural edition of the championship. India is looking to lift the title at the second attempt and end their ICC trophy drought as well. Since their 2013 Champions Trophy win under MS Dhoni’s leadership, India have not won an ICC title.
