Hyderabad-GITAM: ‘Up-skilling by using AI’

A session by Chaitanya Muppala, Senior Product Manager and a leading innovator in AI and Product Development, and Kunal Gir, Program Manager at NUIDea was conducted on Wednesday of a week-long event called ‘Summer Startup School’ (from 26th to 31st of May 2023) which was organized by Venture Development Centre (VDC) of GITAM Deemed to be University, Hyderabad.

Chaitanya was excited to share insights into the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and product development with the budding entrepreneurs how it is used by MNCs and how can young India incorporate some of the advancements. He explained to us that AI’s potential in product development is just beginning to be fully realized.

Startups are now empowered to harness the power of AI to enhance their product development processes, accelerate time-to-market, and gain a competitive edge. How by leveraging AI algorithms and predictive models, emerging entrepreneurs can analyze vast amounts of data, extract valuable insights, and make data-driven decisions.

Startups by leveraging AI-driven analytics, product developers can make more informed decisions and develop products that resonate with their target audience. AI can analyze user behavior and preferences to generate design recommendations and iterate on product features. This enables faster and more efficient design cycles, resulting in products that are tailored to specific user needs.

Kunal organized a Pre-incubation Program called ‘Ready Set Go’ for emerging student startups. The program aimed to foster the growth and development of young entrepreneurs by providing them with the necessary and structured resources, guidance, and mentorship to turn their innovative ideas into viable business ventures.

Finally, the six-day summer startup school ended with an ‘Incubator Field Visit’ to The Akshaya Patra Foundation at Kandi of Sangareddy District and IIT Hyderabad, under the supervision of Vasudev Vangara and Yamini Krishna Rapeti, Senior Venture Coaches at VDC.
