Indian Coast Guard organizes Cyclothon event at 73 ACV Squadron in Navi Mumbai
Indian Coast Guard organized a Cyclothon event today at 73 ACV Squadron, Navi Mumbai. The event was organised to cover a distance of 10 Kms from CBD Belapur to Kharghar to commemorate World Environment Day 2023 with an emphasis on the Mission Lifestyle for Environment initiative by the Government of India. The event was conducted in collaboration with Decathlon, CBD Belapur.
The Cyclothon was flagged off by Shri. PS Ranpise, IPS, Inspector General, Western Sector Headquarters, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Speaking on the occasion, Shri. PS Ranpise, IPS complemented Indian Coast Guard for creating a major platform that fosters awareness, promotes fitness, and inspires our youth to embrace sustainable living.
Shri. PS Ranpise, IPS congratulated ICG for organizing the Cyclothon event, not only to raise awareness among the masses but also to inspire youth to consider the Indian Coast Guard as a rewarding career opportunity.
The Cyclothon event was attended by DIG Anurag Kashik, Commander, Coast Guard District Headquarters Mumbai, Commandant TN Kotambe, Commanding Officer, 73 ACV Squadron, Belapur and Mr. Ezekiel Fernandes from Decathlon Belapur. The event was also graced by participants from various ICG units based in Mumbai who expressed their delight to participate in the event.
