Over 24000 visitors actively participated in Mission Life programs at IGZP, Visakhapatnam: Thanked to PM Modi
Indira Gandhi Zoological Park Visakhapatnam has been organising various activities since last fortnight as a part of LiFE Mission initiated by Prime Minister of India Sh. Narendra Modi on May 5.
School children from various educational institutions came together to demonstrate their support for the LiFE (Lifestyle For Environment) mission activities.
The students showcased the recommitment to environmental conservation by forming a shape representing the word “Life” in the Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, Visakhapatnam on May 27, 2023.
The students demonstrated exceptional creativity and passion throughout this event, actively engaging with the community to spread awareness about environmental issues and the need for conservation.
Their efforts have fostered a sense of responsibility and inspired positive action among individuals of all ages. The LiFE Mission aim is to engage and empower the youth of India in environmental protection and sustainable practices.
The formation of the word “Life” by the enthusiastic school children symbolizes their dedication towards preserving and nurturing the environment for a better future.
From May 5th to till now IGZP have organized and executed over 300 awareness activities like Awareness sessions on Save Energy, Save Water, Plantation drive, Adopting Healthy Lifestyles, Seed Collection, Animal Keeper Talk,
Awareness on different types of medicinal plants in Zoo Nursery, Awareness on consumption of Millets, Awareness on conservation of butterflies, awareness on eco-friendly modes of transport, how to reduce global warming, etc. across various locations in IGZP. About 24000 visitors actively participated in these awareness programs so far.
We commend the dedication and enthusiasm of the school children and extend our heart full thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for launching the LiFE Mission and inspiring the youth to take charge of environmental conservation.
The collective efforts of the students, visitors involved in organizing these activities are truly making a difference in our society
