Telangana: CM KCR announces Rs 105 Cr for formation day celebrations

In Telangana, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said the state’s formation Day should mark a befitting commemoration of the sacrifices made by martyrs for the cause of Statehood.

Addressing the maiden conference of District Collectors and Superintendents of Police at the Dr.B R Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat in Hyderabad, he said the Statehood for Telangana was hard-won and the culmination of six decades of democratic struggle.

He announced sanction of 105 crore rupees for the 21-day-long celebrations and directed the Finance Department to release funds to organize the celebrations in a grand manner.
