PV Sindhu, HS Prannoy advance to semi-finals of Malaysia Masters 2023
P.V Sindhu and H.S. Prannoy advanced to the semi-finals of the Malaysia Masters 2023 on Friday. However, Kidambi Srikanth was eliminated in the quarterfinals. Sindhu, India’s sole shuttler in Women’s Singles, faced Zhang Yi Man of China in the quarterfinals.
She will face seventh seed and world number nine Gregoria Mariska Tunjung of Indonesia in the semifinals on Saturday.
Prannoy will take on Christian Adinata of Indonesia in the semifinals. Prannoy has never played against the 21-year-old Adinata, who began playing at the senior level just last year. Malaysia Masters is the first event for the Road to Paris – the qualifying cycle for Paris 2024 Olympics.
