Higher education institutions with the help of NEP will encourage entrepreneurship culture in the country: President Murmu
President Droupadi Murmu today graced the second Convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Ranchi.
The President lauded the outstanding performance of girls in the academic results in the technological domain and emphasized educating the girl child. She praised that 80 percent of the medal winners of IIIT are girls.
The President encouraged the students of technical courses to discover innovative ways and enhance the use of research for the welfare of people and society.
President Droupadi Murmu said, with the new education policy, higher education institutions will develop as research hubs, which will encourage entrepreneurship culture in the country. She said, Digital India is being strengthened by the use of technology and the number of startups in the country is increasing continuously.
Governor CP Radhakrishnan and Chief Minister Hemant Soren present in the convocation wished the students a bright future. President Draupadi Murmu will be accorded a civic reception at Raj Bhavan in a short while from now.
