CM Jagan Mohan Reddy directly deposited Rs.703 crores into the accounts of mothers of students for 9.95 lakh students for January-March quarter as part of Vidya Dievena program. So far, the government has spent Rs.14,912.43 crores for education and accommodation schemes.

He attended the program organized at Kovvur in East Godavari district as the chief guest. On this occasion, the CM said that there are many families in our society who are mired in poverty.

The heads of those families should change. People like doctors, engineers and collectors should come from those families. They should break the shackles of poverty education is the only way, he said.

The CM criticized that if such schemes are given… the state will go bankrupt and some media systems are talking like this.

The cost we spend to change the brains of future generations of children is investment in human resources. He said that Andhra Pradesh will show the country in the coming days.
