Uttarakhand: Portals of Sri Hemakunt Sahib will be opened for devotees tomorrow

In Uttrakhand, the portals of sacred sikh shrine Shri Hemkunt Sahib, will be opened for the devotees tomorrow.
 
On the occasion, Guruvani Ardaas, Sukhmani Path, Shabd-Kirtan were performed today morning at Govind Ghat Gurudwara.

After this, the first batch of pilgrims led by Panch Pyaras from Govindghat Gurdwara left for Ghangharia amid religious chants and band tunes. About 650 Sikh devotees are included in the first batch.
 
The holy book of the Sikhs, Guru Granth Sahib, will be brought to Hemkund Sahib tomorrow in a procession led by the Panch Pyaras.
 
In view of the heavy snow on the route, the Gurudwara Hemkunt Sahib Management Trust has decided to allow 2,500 pilgrims tomorrow on the first day of the opening of the portals.
 
Meanwhile, the work of removing snow from the Yatra route is going on on a war footing. The district administration has limited the number of passengers in view of the snow on the Yatra route.

According to the district administration, travel is currently prohibited for sick people, children, and people above 60 years of age. People have been asked to ensure registration before coming on the pilgrimage.
