Karnataka: Yesterday’s news true: Siddaramaiah to be next Chief Minister of Karnataka: Oath-taking postponed to Saturday
According to information from the Congress party sources yesterday, Siddaramaiah has been confirmed as the new Chief Minister of Karnataka and DK Shivakumar as the Deputy Chief Minister.
Actually Siddaramaiah was supposed to take oath as CM today but it was postponed to Saturday. Congress party officially announced the same today.
Congress leader Siddaramaiah will be the next Chief Minister of Karnataka. Addressing the media in New Delhi, party general secretary KC Venugopal informed that Karnataka Congress President D K Shivakumar will serve as the only deputy chief minister of the state.

He added that Shivakumar will continue as the PCC president till the end of the parliamentary elections. The swearing-in of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister and a few legislators as ministers is scheduled to take place on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka Congress legislature party will meet in Bengaluru this evening. Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar called the meeting at 7:30 PM.
All Congress MLAs elected in the recently concluded assembly elections, the Members of the Legislative Council and the Members of Parliament from Karnataka have been invited to the meeting.
