Telangana: CM KCR incentives for chess players: ₹2.5 Cr for Praneeth
Chief Minister Mr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao expressed his happiness that Telangana chess player Uppala Praneeth (16), who gained international fame in the game of chess at a very young age, achieved the status of World Chess Federation Grand Master.

In the wake of announcing the status of Federation Grand Master, CM Shri KCR called Praneeth and his parents to the Secretariat on Monday and blessed Praneeth. CM KCR announced ₹2.5 crore for the training and other expenses required for Praneeth to become a super grand master in chess in the future.
Chief Minister Shri K. Chandrasekhar Rao congratulated Veerlapalli Nanditha (19) who excelled in chess at the international level and was recognized as a ‘Woman Candidate Master’ by the World Chess Federation.
CM KCR announced ₹50 lakh for training and other expenses required for Nanditha to climb many more heights of international fame. CM KCR directed his secretary Shri Bhupal Reddy to take immediate action in this direction.
