Maximum temperatures to rise in many parts of the country in next few days

Maximum temperatures are expected to rise over several parts of the country over the coming few days. The India Meteorological Department said, heatwave conditions are likely along East Coast during the next two to three days.

The heat wave condition in isolated pockets is very likely over Vidarbha today, and in Odisha and Coastal Andhra Pradesh over the next couple of days, it added.

Meanwhile, rainfall is predicted over northeastern States during the next five days. Heavy rainfall is very likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh today and tomorrow and over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura till the 19th of May.

Isolated very heavy rainfalls are also likely over Assam and Meghalaya till the 19th of May. Duststorm is expected in isolated pockets over Rajasthan till the 18th of May.
