India’s G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant addresses India Tourism Conference 2023 in New Delhi

India’s G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant has said that the tourism sector is not only a driver of growth but also a driver of job creation and employment.

He said that India will be the youngest country in the world by 2047, with average age of the population between 30 to 31. At that time, India will be the provider of almost 25 percent of the workforce in the world.

Addressing the gathering at the India Tourism Conference 2023 in New Delhi today, Mr Kant informed that Indian tourists are driving growth in countries like France, Switzerland, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

He said that Indian tourism will get a boost if every state creates unique products and positions its products in the global market.
