US estimates over 20,000 Russian soldiers died in Ukraine conflict since December
The United States has estimated that over 20 thousand Russian soldiers have died in the Ukraine conflict since December.
According to the US National Security Council spokesman John Kirby, over 80 thousand soldiers have been injured.
He claimed that Russia has so far suffered over one lakh casualties. Kirby said that half of the dead are from Russia’s Wagner mercenary company which was positioned towards the Bakhmut city.
While Russia now controls a large part of Bakhmut, Ukraine still holds some part of the city. Russia is yet to comment on the US estimates.
