Anurag Thakur calls upon youth to visit historical places across to strengthen spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat
Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur called upon the youth to visit several scenic and historical places across the country, which would strengthen the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
He was addressing the Global Open Fest Youth Vibe at Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar today. He said that the youth should visit especially the border areas of the country to get new exposure.
Anurag Singh Thakur said that thousands of startups are working in the country today on the call of Prime Minister Narendera Modi, which reflects the strong will of the country’s youth power.
He also reminded the youth of the five vows suggested by the Prime Minister and said that they should make it an integral part of their lives. Appealing to the youth to stay away from the evil of drugs, he said that youth are the strength of the country. And only the youth will take the country forward on the path of development in the Amrit Kaal.
Referring to the country’s growing economy, he said that today India has become one of the five largest economies of the world leaving the British who ruled India and in the next three years the country would become the third largest economy in the world.
He said that he has not come here to ask for votes or to count the achievements of the government, but to feel energised amongst the youth.
While giving fitness mantra he said everyone should exercise half an hour daily, he also did a workout on stage with the youth, which was welcomed with loud applause.
Union Minister also met and encouraged the differently-abled players who won medals at national and international level and took selfies with them.
