Rajasthan: Maximum temperature in May is expected to be below normal, also possibility of more rain

In Rajasthan, the maximum temperature during the month of May is expected to be below normal by 2-3 degree Celsius and there is a possibility of more rain than normal. Below-average heat waves are also likely to occur during the month.

According to the Met Centre Jaipur, in the first week of May, due to the continuation of thunderstorms under the influence of an active Western Disturbance, above-normal rainfall will be recorded. Also, the maximum temperature is likely to be 2-5 degree Celsius below normal in most parts of the state. 

The temperature is likely to remain normal and below normal due to continuation of isolated thunderstorm activities in the second week as well. During the third and fourth weeks, there is a possibility of a decrease in rain activities and an increase in temperature. The maximum temperature is likely to be near average during this period.
