In Karnataka, the BJP, Congress, JD (S) have intensified their campaigning in the state. Top BJP leaders, including  Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge will be addressing rallies in the state.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually attend an interactive meeting with 50 lakh BJP workers tomorrow, April 27. BJP sources said Prime Minister will join the millions of party workers to ensure that the ‘double-engine’ government returns to power in Karnataka. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who has been on a two-day tour of Karnataka to hold a series of public meetings, urged people that only the BJP can lead the State towards a New Karnataka.

In his first public election rally in the state yesterday, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi alleged that BJP was trying to make this election all about Prime Minister Modi rather than people’s issues. Rebellion has become a headache for political parties in the forthcoming Assembly elections, as several disappointed ticket aspirants have remained in the fray.
