Karnataka Elections: Filing of nomination papers for assembly elections is over
The filing of nomination papers for the Assembly elections in Karnataka ended today. Most of the candidates held road shows and rallies before filing nominations.
In a surprise move, just hours before the closing of time for filing nominations papers, Member of Parliament D K Suresh filed his nomination papers today from Kanakapura as a Congress candidate.
His brother and Congress leader D K Shivakumar had already filed his nomination from the same constituency on Monday. Speaking to media persons later, D K Suresh said that as a safeguard he has filed the nomination in case of rejection of any nomination of Congress candidates after scrutiny.
